Many years ago, a group of players were chosen to form an elite team. These players had no ground, no clubhouse or subscription and membership was by invitation only. The idea of this elite team was to spread good fellowship amongst all rugby football players. It became of feature of the great touring sides of the southern hemisphere would play against the Barbarians on the last game of their tour playing to sell out crowds allowing the touring sides to take part in 'the final challenge' |
