Broadstreet RFC

It's been a very hard time for players of the Broadstreet 2nd team in finding opposition to honour their fixtures. Last Saturday it was the turn of Earlsdon RFC's second XV. Friday Night at 7pm seems to be the time at which these clubs decide that they dont want to play Broadstreet's second XV.

What is really fustrating in Earlsdons case is the fixtures which they did manage to honour. Saturday the 17th of April they couldn't raise a second XV to play Broadstreet, however they did manage to raise a third team to honour their home fixture against Old Coventrians where they managed a 29-29 draw. A few days later wednesdays cup game against Pinley they managed to honour and win the fixture.

Whats strange is how they are picking and chossing their 2nd XV Games, ruining other teams Saturdays by Crying Off when they obvioulsy have enough players. Their forum even has a post from the week before entitled 'A sea of red and white' where Mick Roberts describes

What a great day for Earlsdon RFC yesterday was, there are not too many clubs who can field 4 teams on the same day at home, it was a pleasure to see a red n white team on each pitch.

I thought that the setting up of the Warwickshire Leagues was to ensure that Clubs honoured their fixtures where possible.

To those that understand we have added no follows to the links pointing to the Earlsdon Website as we dont want them to benefit in any way from Crying Off their Fixture and leaving our second team without a game.
