The England Deaf rugby team will play two internationals at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry this season.

England have chosen Broadstreet's impressive facilities at the Ivor Preece Field in Binley Woods for their matches against Wales on February 3 and Scotland on March 9. Both games will kick off at 1pm.

The England Deaf Rugby Union was formed in 2003 to give deaf and hard of hearing players the opportunity to represent their country.

Players are eligible to play for the England Deaf team if they have a combined average hearing loss of 25 decibels or more in both ears, which roughly translates to a minimum hearing loss in both ears or a moderate hearing loss in one ear, but can hear normally in the other.

A series of trials for this season's international matches has already taken place but the England Deaf team is always happy to hear from prospective new players. Further information can be obtained from Tony Stoyles, the EDRU director of rugby, at dor@englanddeafrugby.com or on 07703 581731.
