Broadstreet RFC Vs Rugby Lions
Rugby is your hi-light for a Friday Night at The Ivor Preece Field, Coventry rugby club Broadstreet welcome there neighbours and rivals Rugby Lions for a National League 2 North derby at the end of January. Broadstreet just edged out Rugby Lions the last time that the two clubs met, Danny Richards keeping a cool head and kicking the Street to a 12 - 0 victory to earn the first lot of bragging rights.
Both Clubs will be coming into the match following a prolonged Christmas winter break following the current Freezing temperatures and snow.
Broadstreet still have to face Hull Ionians at home and Macclesfield away, however this is all weather dependant.
The 5 day forecast shows the temperature is due to rise with 5 degrees high and 4 degrees low for Friday so Saturday looks promising apart from todays snow.
Around the rugby world some people have been throwing around the idea of summer rugby. This season will give the players the chance to maybe sample some 'summer rugby' with the fixture backlog.
Postponed fixtures against Huddersfield, Leicester Lions and Fylde all falling foul to the cold weather. The Huddersfield fixture has been rearranged to be played February 6th, The Leicester Lions fixture has been rearranged to be played March 20th, the Fylde fixture has been put in to be played on May 1st, so its Blackpool on a bank holiday weekend.
