Playing National League Rugby in Coventry For Broadstreet RFC
Broadstreet Rugby Club have just experienced a National League 2 North season at level 4 of the RFU league structure. This season has hi-lighted that to play at that level requires a squad which has strength in depth to cover the injuries that can be sustained playing rugby in Coventry at this level. The second XV also require the strength in depth to support the 1st XV and minimise the risk. This requires further rugby player recruitment.
Broadstreet RFC are looking for players of all ages and abilities to come and join the members club. The club has enviable facilities for a rugby club and are hungry with ambition. ·
Broadstreet RFC Rugby Teams
The club currently run senior sides consisting of a first xv , second xv, third xv, colts xv and junior colts xv and
·wish to expand to out out a classics xv each week. To allow us to expand the number of teams that we are putting out on a regular basis we are constantly looking for midland·rugby players who wish to play national league rugby for an ambitious club wishing to fill their clubhouse. Mini and Junior rugby is of great importance to the club with Youth rugby development a priority we have a dedicated plan to school a common coaching plan performing similar disciplines. This allows players to move up age groups in a similar system operated by all of our coaches. To improve our rugby player recruitment in this area we have organised rugby ·mini and junior open days, we are also very proactive with local schools.·
There is a very active social side to the club which has seen various events over the season and we currently have players travelling from all over the Midlands just to keep being part of the team and playing rugby.
The club also run a very successful mini and junior rugby section, from the ages of 6 years upwards every Sunday Morning.
Improving our Rugby player recruitment
Increasing the number of players enjoying and taking part in the game of rugby union is our aim, obviously we would prefer you to head over to the Ivor Preece field and turnout for the street, what is very important to Broadstreet RFC is that the rugby you are playing is fun and you want to play. We have a very active online presence for the main to improve the visibility and profile of playing rugby in Coventry and our social side happens both virtually here on the website, on our facebook page, we keep followers of Broadstreet up to date with our Twitter feeds and have images on the website, facebook, flickr and videos on youtube.
