Broadstreet welcome Sheffield Tigers RUFC to the Ivor Preece Field this Saturday for the first time. Sheffield Tigers level transferred accross from National League III North into National League III Midlands following lasts seasons double promotion of Hinckley and Luctonians to National League II and Nuneaton’s relegation from National League I all involving midlands rugby clubs.

Like Broadstreet, Sheffield Tigers started the season with an away game but unfortunately that’s where the similarity ends with Tigers suffering a defeat at the hands of ?South Leicester by 17 points to 36. Sheffield Tigers had a poor start shipping 20 points in nearly as many minutes playing up the slight hill at South Leicester and into the wind. The Tigers points came from number 8 Brandon Hannam when the Leicester prop was in the sin bin, openside wing forward Callum MacKenzie and winger Gareth Morley, fly half Joe Wright converting one of these tries. South Leicester winning the fixture scoring 4 tries and securing themselves the bonas point win.
