Broadstreet RFC Firsts have a blank weekend, Street Seconds host

Leicester Lions RFC,   Street Thirds - The Beavers travel to

Coalville RFC,    Street Fourths - The Badgers are in the Pool

and Street Colts visit Earlsdon RFC.

l_sillhillians-rugby-club-logo Broadstreet RFC had set everything in place ready to welcome Silhillians RFC to Ivor Preece Field Rugby Ground for a Warwickshire Cup First Round tie kicking off at 2:15pm this coming Sunday 7th November 2010. Please note that games kick-off at the earlier time of 2:15pm from now through to the end of February 2011. Unfortunately, the Copt Heath outfit who celebrated their 75th anniversary in the 2007-8 season and feature in the Midlands Two West (South) League have decided not to proceed with the game. As Silhillians play in the same division as Earlsdon RFC and Dunlop RFC, who both gave us a testing time in our most recent Finals in 2007-8 and 2008-9 respectively, it has come as a shock.
This game has been cancelled.
We were so looking forward to seeing Messrs Conduit, Tirebuck, Clutterbuck and Nozz in action and our Match Announcer Malcolm Jones, who has been busy practising for over a week now with the tongue-twister Quentin Tchakhotine, has obviously wasted his time. Being proven Cup Fighters, having made it all the way through to 1999 Tetley's Bitter Vase Final at Twickenham, we are taken aback at Silhillians decision which means that, as a penalty, they are automatically excluded from the 2011-12 First and Second Team versions of the Warwickshire Cup. Broadstreet-RFC-First-Team-Image Street, having succumbed to Longton RFC last weekend in National League 3 Midlands, will just have to enjoy the unexpected weeks’ rest, pick themselves up, dust themselves off and move on with the home league fixture against Scunthorpe RFC on Saturday 13th at 2:15pm. For Street’s selection issues Skene Out, But Trio Bingham, Greevy And Taylor All Return For The Street.
Street Seconds having been let down by opponents over the last two Saturdays, initially by Luton RFC  in a friendly and then by Nuneaton Old Edwardians RFC in the league, now have a tough one when they entertain Leicester Lions RFC Seconds in the Midland Invitation Premiership LeagueLeicester Lions’ First team are having a marvellous season in League National Two North and their Seconds are unbeaten having trounced Hinckley RFC Seconds 76-14 last weekend.  This is an intriguing fixture as we are pitted against the Second Team of a very stable and highly successful club from Level Four in what should prove to be our Seconds’ most difficult home fixture of the season.  Kick-off is at 2:15pm. For The Seconds' Teamsheet .

Street Thirds - The Beavers travel to face COALVILLE RFC in a friendly kicking-off at 2:15pm.

For The Beavers' Teamsheet.                      Kenilworth RFC call-off at 6:30pm on Friday evening.

Street Fourths - The Badgers are in the pool hoping to arrange a fixture, but there are very limited opportunities as many clubs are taking the afternoon off to watch the Autumn Internationals on TV. broadstreet-badgers-image
Broadstreet-RFC-Colts-Logo Street Colts are scheduled to face Earlsdon RFC Colts in a Warwickshire U19s Merit League match at Mitchell Avenue starting at 2:15pm. They will need to break the pattern of strong first half performances followed by under achievement in the second period.
