Broadstreet 38 - Shipston on Stour 7
On Sunday 7th November, Broadstreet U15's welcomed their counterparts from Shipston RFC to Ivor Preece Field.
In an even 1st half, with both sets of forwards battling for field position, Street came out slightly on top with a 17-7 scoreline at the break.
This due to tries from (Wing) Scott Truslove, (Prop) Ben Deacon & (Flanker) Niall Collins, with 1 conversion from (Captain & Fly Half) Bill Holman, and some excellent scramble defence.
With 26 players available for selection; Street took the opportunity to make 11 changes for the second half.
Constant pressure and fresh legs gave Street to 3 unanswered tries in the 2nd period, 2 more from Truslove to complete his hat-trick, and 1 from (Centre) Adam Lidster, all converted by (Scrum Half) Connor Hunt.
Shipston, who travelled with a bare squad of 15 and were further depleted by a 2nd half yellow card, fought hard to the final whistle; but it was Street who came out on top, with a final scoreline of 38-7.
