Broadstreet stalwarts Matt Dearden and Andy Tee have been the first to be ‘bought’ in the club’s ‘Player Sponsorship Scheme’. The pair, originally hailing from Gloucestershire, joined the club as young students from Coventry University and have remained at the club ever since. In more recent years both players have been content to play in the 2^nd XV helping it grow into the strongest 2^nd string in the county, with Dearden as captain. However with the large player exodus that the club suffered during the summer, the club had to fall back on its old faithful and the pair rolled back the years and put themselves in contention for 1^st team selection. Dearden has appeared in every game this season whilst Tetley has been a revelation, bringing in the largest points haul in Broadstreet’s 58 point demolition of Scunthorpe.

 

This dedication has obviously been recognised, so deservedly it is these two players who have attracted ‘buyers’ first.
