Broadstreet RFC

 

Broadstreet RFC Colts Jack Howland (fly-half) and Joe Lowery (fullback) have been selected for the England Colleges’ U19’s squad.

The two colts XV players were picked for the team after impressing the England team selectors during the trials at the University of Warwick in December and will be attending training camps ahead of preparations for international fixtures against Scotland Universities and Wales Colleges. 

Both Howland and Lowery play club rugby for Broadstreet RFC along with combining their rugby with a BTEC Sports Course at Henley College Coventry, under the watchful eye of Coventry Rugby Club backs coach Peter Glackin who is delighted with both players achievements. Glackin was quoted 

 

"It’s an excellent achievement for both players who have excelled in the college rugby team this year, they have developed in to very good players after working hard in the rugby development centre during their two years at the college and we wish them well."
