Street trek to Trentham Lakes, Staffordshire to face to Longton RFC, the Seconds have a Warwickshire 2nd XV Cup date on Sunday away at Old Laurentians RFC, the Beavers entertain Nuneaton Old Edwardians RFC, and the Colts host Southam RFC in the Warwickshire Colts Cup.

longton-rugby-club Broadstreet RFC First Team travel to Sir Stanley Matthews Way, Trentham Fields for a return National League 3 Midlands fixture at Longton RFC with, unusually for February at this level, a 3:00pm kick-off.  It is important for independent travellers to allow extra travelling time in order to negotiate the approaches to Longton's ground, as Stoke City are at home at the nearby Britannia Stadium.
This will be the Street's third visit to Longton's new headquarters, which feature a very impressive clubhouse set on exposed high ground, surrounded by industrial warehousing. The clubhouse is fully-owned on land leased from Stoke-on-Trent City Council for 100 years. There are a number of rugby pitches and other excellent sports facilities that have to co-exist with a very strong prevailing South-Westerly wind. Even if it's a reasonable day, wrap up warm. Longton are having an excellent season so far and currently lie third in the table, ten points behind Bromsgrove RFC, but with two games in hand. If they win those convincingly, Longton could be in the running for the automatic promotion place as champions. Longton have a similar 'points for' record to the Street, but defensively on average concede around ten points less per game.
Top try scorer is speed merchant Wing Chris Tenucci who has bagged eleven so far, aided and abetted by Centre Scott Rawlings with six, his brother No.8 Gareth Rawlings with five, Centre Lee Brogan with five and Centre Luke Fowles, the brother of ex-Street Wing Josh Fowles, who is succesfully plying his trade nowadays at Level Three with Macclesfield RUFC, also on five. Kicking ace, Fly Half Chris Buck is fourth in the league's top points scorers list with 117 points. Street will be hoping for a reversal of fortunes against Longton who won the late October game much more emphatically than the 34-22 scoreline suggests. Broadstreet-RFC-Main-Pitch-and-Clubhouse-Image
