Canada Rugby Comes Up Trumps In Hour Of Need.
Canada Rugby and Broadstreet RFC join forces to help hard-hit local Coventry Family.
The Canadian National Rugby squad has taken the bull by the horns and elected to switch completely the emphasis of their ‘Farewell to Broadstreet Evening’ on 14th June from bidding goodbye to providing much needed assistance to a local family in Coventry that has been completely devastated by a house fire.
Canada Rugby, who are preparing for the Churchill Cup at Broadstreet RFC’s extensive sports facilities at the Ivor Preece Field Rugby Ground on the outskirts of Coventry, have been taken by the plight of a local family in difficulty and have decided to do their utmost to generate financial aid in their hour of need. A Benefit Dinner event will be held at the Ivor Preece Centre in Binley Woods with the complete Canadian squad and a guest speaker. Canada players will be present at each table as hosts whilst there will be a chance to win a Canada Rugby shirt signed by all the players. In addition Canada are hoping to arrange for signed shirts from the USA Eagles and England Saxons. With limited tickets available for the three course buffet-style dinner, this will be a great opportunity to win a collectors’ item to cherish. Tickets will be priced at £20 and profits from the event will be used to provide financial assistance to the local family.
Please contact Kay Finch at Broadstreet RFC or call on 02476 541 070 for tickets.
This event is open to the general public. You do NOT have to be a Broadstreet member.
