Dennis Howland running for charity to get fit before the pre-season starts.  

Broadstreet RFC Colts Coach, Dennis Howland, will be taking part in the Two Castles ten kilometres charity run on Sunday 12th June 2011.  Starting in Warwick Castle, the 3,962 registered runners will run through leafy Warwickshire to Kenilworth Castle and in doing so, hope to raise much needed money for good causes.  Aiming to keep up with his fellow runner and Sister-in-law Cath, occasional jogger Dennis will compete in the ‘Oldest Finishers’ category for the first time.  Dennis hopes to complete the run inside sixty minutes, but someone will need to be stationed outside the Anchor in Leek Wootton, a welcome Real Ale watering hole part-way through the course, to prevent his time totalling six hours.

In all seriousness, Dennis’s family have had breast cancer concerns in the past and this is his way of helping to provide funds for such a worthy cause.  Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and Breast Cancer Care's local services provide clear, up-to-date information together with skilled emotional and practical support for people affected.
