Street Travel To South Wales For Pre-season Practice Match.
Testing trip to Waunarlwydd RFC of West Swansea.

Broadstreet RFC will make the 360 mile return journey to face Wales Division One side Waunarlwydd RFC on Saturday 20th August 2011 in a pre-season practice match kicking-off at 4:30 pm.
Founded in 1900, Waunarlwydd RFC are situated at the gateway to the beautiful Gower Peninsular in South Wales, some five miles to the west of Swansea City Centre.
In the 2009/10 season Waunarlwydd, nicknamed the ‘Green and Blacks’, gained promotion from the same division as our old friends Kidwelly RFC to Division One West. Following a tough 2010-11 campaign in which they finished one place ahead of the relegation zone, but with a very comfortable 18 point margin, they now have the opportunity to stabilise themselves in the division with a second season. This will greatly assist player development and consolidate the Green and Blacks role as the feeder club to the Ospreys of the Magners League.
A year ago our local senior side, Coventry RFC, began their 2010/11 campaign with a pre-season practice match against another Division One side, Merthyr RFC, and were beaten 9-6. This highlights how difficult the fixture is likely to be and will be a good test of Broadstreet’s promotion credentials for the upcoming season.
