Pete Props In.
Millsy Switches Across Town.
Earlsdon RFC Tighthead Prop Peter Mills has decided to make the switch to Broadstreet RFC to try his luck higher up the Rugby ladder for the coming season. Twenty-five year old Millsy attended Bablake school and was a regular in the first team with England International and current Brive player Shane Geraghty. After finishing school, Millsy attended Leicester University to study Medical Biochemistry and was a regular in Leicester University's 1st XV from the outset.
After graduating from Leicester University, Millsy returned to Coventry and resumed playing for his local club Earlsdon RFC and began a Physiotherapy post-graduate course at Coventry University. Whilst at Earlsdon, Pete earned his first and only County Cap last season for Warwickshire, but unfortunately wasn't able to help them avoid relegation. He has his sights on representing the county again in the future and is hoping that a move to the Ivor Preece Field Rugby Ground will help him prove his credentials against tougher opposition and bring him closer to these personal goals.
"Obviously I am disappointed to be leaving Earlsdon, as a lot of my friends are there and I did not take the decision lightly, but I would like to be competing at the top end of the divisions and hopefully I will be able to take advantage of the opportunities at Broadstreet and prove myself against some of the best props in the Midlands."
