Broadstreet Strengthen Squad.
Street continue to build for the season ahead.

Broadstreet RFC are continuing to improve upon last year's squad by beefing up the midfield with the signing of strong running Outside Centre Ross Bayston from Kenilworth RFC. Ross progressed through Kenilworth’s Mini & Junior section before going on to play in the Ks first team in, what was then, Midlands 1. After completing school, Ross attended Coventry University and featured in the BUCS Leagues with our very own Ben Dawes, Ed Mbaraga and last year's 1st XV players Mark Rea and Dave Irvine, both of whom have now completed University and moved back home.
After a successful start at Kenilworth RFC, Ross Bayston switched clubs for the 09/10 season and tried his hand with Nuneaton RFC in National League 1 where he was given limited opportunities out of position, however he still managed to gain some valuable experience from the higher echelons of English rugby by scoring against Blackheath RFC in one of his four starts on the right wing. After Christmas he was loaned back to his home club Kenilworth where he was given much more 1st XV game time in his preferred Outside Centre position.
After finishing University, Ross travelled to New Zealand for a season playing for Timaru Harlequins in South Canterbury where he scored eight tries during the campaign and gained some very valuable experience from the Kiwis.
Now 22, the 6 ft 3” and 16 ½ stone centre is eager to get stuck into National 3 Midlands and will hopefully add some strength in depth to a position which we struggled most with during last year's campaign.
