Broadstreet Rugby Football Club Results -
After being twenty-two points down in fourteen minutes Broadstreet RFC Firsts lost 39-21 at Bromsgrove RFC. Bromsgrove's powerful pack efficiently channelled possession through their fast-running backs to overrun the Street with three tries plus one from their number eight. Gradually, Street were able to get back into the game with tries from Tom Stokes and Stewart Hendry, aided by Cameron Pimlow's left boot, to narrow the margin to just six points, but illness forced both Brett Chatwin and Stewart Hendry to leave the field early in the second half effectively ending Street's threat to turn things around, when clearly in the ascendancy. Two further tries from Bromsgrove's backs put the finishing touch to an impressive all-round performance moving them into second place in the league above the Street. Longton remain as leaders after narrowly defeating Malvern 18-15.
The Thirds lost 7-30 at home in a non-league match against Vipers’ Seconds.
The Seconds entertain Silhillians RUFC 2nds on Sunday afternoon at 2:15 pm in the Preliminary Round of the Warwickshire Second Team Cup. Please come along to give your support.
