Broadstreet stood up well against a powerful Bedworth pack to secure the points with some fast and furious play. Although the game was full of scrappy moments and a bucket full of penalties from both sides it was individual breaks at pace that tore the Bedworth defence apart. Despite Broadstreet taking an early lead with tries from Ethan Griffiths and Chris Dodd, Jamie Dodd converting one, it was Bedworth who posed the greatest threat with some unrewarded powerful surges on the Broadstreet line. Streets defence was organised enough to hold off the challenge and despite the loss of Bednall for 10minutes, the closest Bedworth came was with a penalty in front of the posts. Street had all but wrapped up the game by half time, when an excellent run from centre Stu Crawford set up the John Brown to crash over the line, J. Dodd converting.

HT: Broadstreet 19 – 0 Bedworth

The second half was a dull affair with both sides struggling to make any concerted passages of play, Chris Dodd did cross for Street and Bedworth managed a consolation penalty try on their one appearance into the Street 22. The match finished with a last minute try from Drew Hudman, J. Dodd converting. Street entertains Old Leamingtonians next week in another Warwickshire League 2 fixture.
