I knew Les, not very well as he was much older than I was, he was Hon Treasurer for the club and I was his assistant, it was at the time that he prematurely passed away.
I was too young to know him as a player, but did enjoy him having his forthright debates at committee meetings - Nothing changes!

You may be interested to know the one of his grand sons James (name sake), has being playing for Broad Street for three seaons now, and will be moving up to the U11's in September.

Its satisfying to know that Les' grandson is playing for the club, he would have been proud.
