After signing Sam Bates last week, Broadstreet have secured the services of another Sam with ‘Big’ credentials after 20 year old Number 8, Sam Ismail has committed to our 2011/12 campaign.

Sam attended school at Moulton College in Northampton, one of 12 AASE (Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence) establishments with formal ties to a Premiership Rugby Club, in this case Northampton Saints. Whilst at Moulton, Sam earned progression through the Schoolboy rugby system which culminated in his selection to represent England Colleges.

Now studying Sport Science at Nottingham Trent University, Sam was a key figure for the Trent Rugby 1^st XV and helped them secure promotion as League winners into the BUCS Premier A division where they will play the likes of Loughborough and British University Champions Durham.

At 6 ft 4 and 16 ½ stone he is comfortable anywhere in the back row and also has the ability to ‘fill in’ at 2^nd row and is sure to make a positive impression on Broadstreet’s promotion push.
