EDF Semi Final

Hello all, I'm travelling up for the EDF Semi and staying at a local Premier Inn on Saturday, with my daughter. I was hoping to call in to your club for a couple of pre match beers { and hopefully several more celebratory post match} I was wondering whether any one can advise me how far, in practical terms, you are from the Ricoh? Is it too far to walk? Or should we be looking at public transport/ taxi. Also I believe there is a TGI local, is that reccomended, or do you have alternative eateries, that may be better options?
Many thanks in advance Eddy Morgan, Ospreylia West

Eddie, great to see you on here and good luck on Saturday. I wouldn't think that you would want to walk to the Ricoh from you hotel, I would definately look at a taxi or public transport. See attached map, its 1 junction down the M6 Motorway, or the other side of the city centre to where you are staying. The club would welcome you in for your beers both before and after the game obvioulsy.

As for the eateries TGI's as you have mentioned, The cocked Hat, or The Roseycombe are both pretty local to the club. Depends how much celebrating or comiserating that has been carried out prior to the meal. Check it out with the guys at the club as they are sure to know better than I do.

Thanks for that thatch. I didn't really see it as a walk, but your rugger club appears a pretty decent temporary HQ. Looking forward to the weekend with anticipation, especially after the last weekend going pear shaped, but hey ho another day another comp and another opportunity to bump into chums I've yet to meet. See you Saturday.

Eddy,

You might want to know that there is a 'Park & Ride' operating from the club, with a local coach company - A-Line - and in arrangement with Ricoh Arena. We have two teams traveling away so there will only be the hardened drinkers (and Thatch) in the club. You, your family and friends are very welcome to come and have a drink whatever the result.
