Broadstreet rugby club came out top in this game of missed opportunities as they carried on their unbeaten run to 9 games. Fly half Dan Richards open the score after 28 minutes with a sweetly struck penalty. Both sides looking to make this an open and attacking game were thwarted by some over zealous refereeing Steve Johnson of the Midlands society. Malvern RFC got their chance to bring the scores level on the stroke of half time and full back Hooper took his chance well to bring the scores level at the break.

Broadstreet stared the second half with purpose and were well rewarded with 3 tries all converted by Richards. The first try scored by blind side flanker and Man of the match Nigel Mukarati after some neat inter play. The second and easiest of the match scored by Richards after he intercepted a long pass by Malvern fly half Longley to score under the posts. The final try by skipper Eddie Simkiss from close range added to 'streets score to take them to 24-3. Malvern continued to battle and put several phases together with the end result a try for blindside flanker Hobbs. Hooper added the conversion to make the final score 24-10.
