Half Time Result Stands 20 - 0

BROADSTREET breezed to their fifth win of the season, but are waiting to hear whether they face a replay after the second half was played with uncontested scrums because of an injury to a home prop.

Lifted by an early drop-goal from Danny Richards, Street assumed total control when the Malvern wing forward collected a straight red card for a reckless rucking offence.

Richards struck again with a well-taken try followed by a conversion which bounced home via an upright. And in the final seconds of the half they scored with an impressive drive to push the Malvern scrum over the line, Number 8 Ady Hall knocking on but the referee awarding a penalty try that Richards improved.

The change to the rules of engagement after the interval seemed to unsettle The Street more than their hosts, who twice broke away to claim unconverted tries.

But a move from deep in Broadstreet territory opened the way for full-back Wayne Lester, followed by  Luke Talbot then cashing in on a well-sustained drive for a try converted by Richards.

Dan Richards also added the extra points to touchdowns by Simon Morris and Nick Thatcher. And as any semblance of Malvern resistance melted away, Street helped themselves to another further couple of tries by Andy McGrory and Gary Challis
