Bedford Athletic RFC secured the Midlands One East league title in unforgettable fashion with a one point final day victory over local rivals Peterborough Lions, giving them a return to National 3 Midlands following a three season absence. It is the club’s first league title in nine years and their fifth overall. They won Midlands Two in 1998, Midlands One in 1999 and again in 2004.
