Old Halesonians RFC run a comprehensive Mini and Junior rugby section fielding teams from levels under 7's through to under 17's. The senior side run Five senior sides plus a colts with six rugby pitches and a 118 seat stand they are certainly preparing for a good run in National League 3 Midlands.
Old Halesonians Director of Rugby Gary Cox predicts the title challenge could turn into a three horse race involving Hales, Birmingham and Solihull plus Broadstreet who were relegated from National League Two North.
He has brought in former Keresley, Nuneaton Old Edwardians and Nuneaton prop Adam Wilson, Wilson made 106 appearances and scored 21 tries for Old Eds before trying his luck in national leagues, together with back row player ??? who has played at Championship level with both Birmingham and Solihull and at Cornish Pirates where he suffered a serious knee injury.
Cox has also captured scrum half Chris Danks from local rivals Bromsgrove, while versatile backs player Mark Briggs and New Zealander Martin Hooker have arrived at Wassell Grove, again from Birmingham and Soliuhull.
